Ruyi golden hoop stick

The Ruyi Jingu Bang is the weapon used by Sun Wukong in "Journey to the West". According to the book, it was originally a divine iron smelted by Taishang Laojun. Later, it was borrowed by Dayu to control floods. After controlling the floods, the remaining iron for stabilizing the sea was placed in the East Sea. The Ruyi Jingu Bang has two gold hoops at both ends and a section of black iron in the middle. Close to the hoop, there is a line engraved: "Ruyi Jingu Bang, thirteen thousand five hundred catties." In the various common images of the Jingu Bang, it is a stick with a section of yellow at each end and red in the middle.
